Suiranrou is blessed with three different springs that bring forth different waters. All the water in our baths comes directly from these springs.
We use groundwater to cool the hot spring water and adjust its temperature.
The water of Hitoyoshi hot springs is said to be perfect for beauty purposes. It cleanses the skin and makes it silky smooth.

We are dedicated to growing our own vegetables in our private garden
“Local produce only” is our motto. We use only carefully selected local ingredients, from wild sweetfish from the Kumagawa River to wild boar game meat.
We want to serve our guests only the safest, most delicious food.
That is why we created the Suiranrou Vegetable Garden.
Most of the vegetables used in our kitchen are grown without the use of pesticides.
When mealtimes come around, our chef personally selects the right ingredients, which are picked just before they are prepared.

The Kumagawa River is the largest river in Kumamoto Prefecture. It is one of Japan's three fastest-flowing rivers, along with the Mogami River and the Fuji River.
